Scott Jones

State Advisor

Mr. Scott Jones is an Instructor of Business in the Fort Hays State University Department of Applied Business Studies and the Director for the Center of Economic Education. Scott has over 20 years of teaching experience with universities and educational organizations. 

 

Scott has an Ed.S. in Urban Leadership & Policy Studies from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, an M.A. in Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of Kansas, an M.S. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a B.S. in Marketing Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is currently pursuing his PhD in Curriculum & Instruction from Kansas State University.  Scott has worked with DECA for more than 25 years in a variety of different capacities.

Assistant State Advisor

Brooks Barber

Brooks is a graduate student and graduate teaching assistant at Fort Hays State University. He is pursuing a Master of Liberal Studies in Corporate Communication. Brooks completed his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing in 2020.

Brooks was the president of his high school DECA chapter during his time at Hays High School.

He has also served as President, Treasurer, and

Vice President of the Collegiate DECA chapter at Fort Hays State University. 

In addition to working for the Kansas DECA State Office, Brooks also consults other businesses providing graphic, content, and web development services.

Natalie Clark

Mrs. Clark received a B.S. Degree in Secondary Education, Business and Computer Studies, from Kansas State University.

 

Before leading Business Education efforts at KSDE, Mrs. Clark was employed by Stafford USD 349 as Stafford SEED (Stafford Entrepreneurship and Economic Development) Center High School Instructor, Yearbook Advisor, Pathway Teacher in the areas of Marketing Management and Hospitality and Tourism.  She established a Hospitality and Tourism Restaurant and Event Management Pathway combining Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Culinary Arts through a RPOS grant.
