How to upload your presentation to YouTube for SCDC 2022.
STEP 1: Sign in to www.youtube.com

In the top right corner, select "Sign In"

If you already have a Google/Gmail account, you can use that to sign in.

If not, you must follow the steps to create one for free.
STEP 2: Access Upload Dashboard

Once you are signed in, in the top right corner, hover over the "Create" icon and then select the option to "Upload Video."

If this is not your first time uploading a video, skip to Step 3.

If this is your first time uploading to YouTube, follow the prompted steps:

Get Started
-
Choose Your Name (either your own name or a custom name)

You can add information if you would like, or scroll down and select "Set Up Later."

STEP 3: Upload Your Video

Select your presentation file (or Drag and Drag and Drop to Upload Window).

Details Tab
-
Title your video
-
Please Title Your Upload "Kansas SCDC Submission - Event Acronym - Competitor ID"

EXAMPLE: Kansas SCDC Submission - ADC - 10982

-
Include participant name(s) and school in the description.

EXAMPLE: Bryan Smith, Angela Jones | Goodland High School

-
Scroll down to "Audience" and select, "No, it's not made for kids."

This is if content is designed for children 13 or under.

Click next.

Video Elements Tab
-
No elements are required.
-
Click next.
-
-
Visibility Tab
-
Change to Unlisted.
-
This protects your video and only allows those with a link to watch it.

Click save.

STEP 4: Review & Submit

Watch your presentation one final time to ensure everything looks correct, follows the guidelines, and to confirm that it uploaded correctly.

When ready, submit the sharable link to the competitive event submission platform.
